1Agreement to these Terms
By accessing or using MailArmor, you agree to these Terms of Service.
If you use the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
2Order of precedence
If you have a separate signed agreement with us (e.g., Order Form, MSA, DPA), that agreement will control in case of conflict with these Terms.
3The Services
MailArmor provides AI-powered email security for Microsoft 365, including API-based integration (e.g., via Microsoft 365 Graph API) and threat detection capabilities such as phishing/malware protection, URL protection, and sandboxing. Feature sets vary by plan.
4Eligibility and accounts
You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for:
- maintaining confidentiality of credentials,
- restricting access to authorized users, and
- all activities under your account.
5Trials, subscriptions, billing, and taxes
We may offer free trials. Paid subscriptions, plan limits, pricing, and order terms are described on our pricing/order pages or your Order Form.
Unless otherwise stated:
- fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable except where required by law,
- taxes may apply and are your responsibility.
Renewal & cancellation
Subscriptions may be renewed as described in your order terms. You may cancel as per your order terms or by contacting support@protecte.io.
6Customer responsibilities (important for email security)
Email security depends on your environment and configuration. You agree to:
- ensure users/admins connecting your Microsoft 365 tenant are authorized,
- maintain strong tenant security (e.g., MFA, least privilege),
- configure policies appropriately for your organization.
7Acceptable use
You will not:
- attempt to bypass security controls,
- probe/scan/test vulnerabilities except as explicitly permitted in writing (or under our vulnerability disclosure policy),
- interfere with the Services or networks,
- use the Services to send malware, spam, or illegal content,
- reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code except where prohibited by law.
8Customer Data and permissions
You (or your organization) retain ownership of Customer Data. You grant MailArmor permission to process Customer Data solely to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the Services, including threat detection and policy enforcement, in accordance with our Privacy Policy and any applicable DPA.
9Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information and Customer Data. By using the Services, you agree to our Privacy Policy.
10Intellectual property
MailArmor and all related software, branding, and documentation are owned by Protecte Technologies Pvt Ltd or its licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Services during your subscription term, subject to these Terms.
11Third-party services (Microsoft 365 and others)
The Services integrate with third-party platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365). Your use of those third-party services is governed by their terms. MailArmor is not responsible for third-party outages, limitations, or changes that impact integrations.
12Security and compliance statements
MailArmor is designed to support security and compliance efforts (including India-first data residency patterns and CERT-In/DPDP alignment approaches). However, you remain responsible for your own compliance program, legal obligations, and internal policies.
CERT-In incident reporting
Certain cybersecurity incidents may be reported to CERT-In within required timelines (including within 6 hours where applicable), as required by law.
13Service availability and changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Services. Where practical, we will try to provide reasonable notice for material changes.

15Disclaimers
The Services are provided 'AS IS' and 'AS AVAILABLE.' While MailArmor aims to detect and block threats, no security product can guarantee 100% prevention of all attacks.
16Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- MailArmor will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
- MailArmor's total liability for claims relating to the Services will be limited to the fees paid by you for the Services in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, unless required otherwise by law.
17Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MailArmor and Protecte Technologies from claims arising from your misuse of the Services, violation of these Terms, or violation of applicable laws.
18Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, misuse the Services, or if suspension is reasonably necessary to prevent harm, abuse, or legal/compliance risk.
Upon termination, your right to use the Services ends. Data handling after termination follows the Privacy Policy and any written order terms.
19Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Uttar Pradesh, India will have jurisdiction unless otherwise agreed in writing.
